1) 80 CA is a secondary catalyst in liquid form that readily mixes with chromium plating solutions. It becomes effective as soon as it is added and dispersed into the solution.
2) 80 CA eliminates the rainbow effect at low current density, helps activate nickel for subsequent chromium plating, and increases chrome plating covering power.
3) Iron and aluminum ions will bind to the secondary catalyst and reduce its effective concentration. 1g of iron will complex 20cc of 80 CA. Therefore, increasing the amount of 80 CA is necessary.
